Depot Doll Club was formed in 2000 after a doll workshop taught by elinor peace bailey. Elinor has been an inspiration since the 2000 beginning and continues to push us to new limits.
Members meet the third Sunday of the month in the classroom at Fabric Depot from noon until 5:00pm. This time is subject to change from year to year, so check our web site for updates. Meetings consist of challenges, working on round robins and sometimes a demonstration of a new technique given by one of our talented members. Membership is $15.00 a year.
Members’ dolls have been donated to silent auctions benefiting charities, have had photos published in doll related publications and have won awards in statewide challenges such as the Hoffman Challenge and Treasures of the Gypsy. Some members market their own original patterns and one was asked to create a doll for a book by Patti Culea.
Depot Doll Club has a core membership of eight with an e-mail list of eighteen non-members.
The one thing we all have in common is our love of fiber, beads and a willingness to share our knowledge. We welcome new members and visitors. For information, contact us at contact@depotdollclub.com. Our web-site address is: www.depotdollclub.com
